melainkan (Kami selamatkan mereka) karena rahmat yang besar dari Kami dan untuk memberikan kesenangan hidup sampai waktu tertentu.

( إلا رحمة منا ) وهذا استثناء منقطع ، تقديره : ولكن برحمتنا نسيركم في البر والبحر ، ونسلمكم إلى أجل مسمى ; ولهذا قال :( ومتاعا إلى حين ) أي : إلى وقت معلوم عند الله .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
