O popol mio, fa’ [pure] quello che vuoi, ché anch’io lo farò: ben presto saprete chi sarà precipitato nel castigo abominevole, chi sarà [stato] il mendace. Aspettate! Ché anch’io aspetterò insieme con voi».

{ و ْ} لما أعيوه وعجز عنهم قال: { يَا قَوْمِ اعْمَلُوا عَلَى مَكَانَتِكُمْ ْ} أي: على حالتكم ودينكم. { إِنِّي عَامِلٌ سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ يَأْتِيهِ عَذَابٌ يُخْزِيهِ ْ} ويحل عليه عذاب مقيم أنا أم أنتم، وقد علموا ذلك حين وقع عليهم العذاب. { وَارْتَقِبُوا ْ} ما يحل بي { إِنِّي مَعَكُمْ رَقِيبٌ ْ} ما يحل بكم.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
