E disse ancora: «Che? Questo è l’essere che hai onorato più di me? Se mi darai tempo fino al Giorno della Resurrezione avrò potere sulla sua discendenza, eccetto pochi».

فلما تبين لإبليس تفضيل الله لآدم { قَالَ } مخاطبا لله: { أَرَأَيْتَكَ هَذَا الَّذِي كَرَّمْتَ عَلَيَّ لَئِنْ أَخَّرْتَنِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لَأَحْتَنِكَنَّ ذُرِّيَّتَهُ } أي: لأستأصلنهم بالإضلال ولأغوينهم { إِلَّا قَلِيلًا } عرف الخبيث أنه لا بد أن يكون منهم من يعاديه ويعصيه.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
