può darsi che presto il mio Signore mi dia qualcosa di meglio del tuo giardino e che invii dal cielo una calamità contro di esso riducendolo a nudo suolo,

{ فَعَسَى رَبِّي أَنْ يُؤْتِيَنِ خَيْرًا مِنْ جَنَّتِكَ وَيُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهَا } أي: على جنتك التي طغيت بها وغرتك { حُسْبَانًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ } أي: عذابا، بمطر عظيم أو غيره، { فَتُصْبِحَ } بسبب ذلك { صَعِيدًا زَلَقًا } أي: قد اقتلعت أشجارها، وتلفت ثمارها، وغرق زرعها، وزال نفعها.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
