{ إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَا هَذِهِ التَّمَاثِيلُ ْ} التي مثلتموها، ونحتموها بأيديكم، على صور بعض المخلوقات { الَّتِي أَنْتُمْ لَهَا عَاكِفُونَ ْ} مقيمون على عبادتها، ملازمون لذلك، فما هي؟ وأي فضيلة ثبتت لها؟ وأين عقولكم، التي ذهبت حتى أفنيتم أوقاتكم بعبادتها؟ والحال أنكم مثلتموها، ونحتموها بأيديكم، فهذا من أكبر العجائب، تعبدون ما تنحتون.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
