E [giuro] per Allah che tramerò contro i vostri idoli non appena volterete le spalle!» 1 .

ولما بين أن أصنامهم ليس لها من التدبير شيء أراد أن يريهم بالفعل عجزها وعدم انتصارها وليكيد كيدا يحصل به إقرارهم بذلك فلهذا قال:{ وَتَاللَّهِ لَأَكِيدَنَّ أَصْنَامَكُمْ ْ} أي أكسرها على وجه الكيد { بَعْدَ أَنْ تُوَلُّوا مُدْبِرِينَ ْ} عنها إلى عيد من أعيادهم
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
