[Allah] disse: «O Iblìs, cosa ti impedisce di prosternarti davanti a ciò che ho creato con le Mie mani? Ti gonfi d’orgoglio? Ti ritieni forse uno dei più elevati?».

فـ { قَالَ } اللّه موبخا ومعاتبا: { مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَسْجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَيَّ } أي: شرفته وكرمته واختصصته بهذه الخصيصة، التي اختص بها عن سائر الخلق، وذلك يقتضي عدم التكبر عليه.{ أسْتَكْبَرْتَ } في امتناعك { أَمْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الْعَالِينَ }
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
