Così [avvenne] perché non credettero nonostante i loro messaggeri avessero recato loro prove inequivocabili. Allora Allah li afferrò. In verità Egli è il Forte, il Severo nel castigo.

أي هذا العذاب لهم بكفرهم بالرسل تأتيهم " بالبينات " أي بالدلائل الواضحة .فكفروا بها
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
