Poi, quando videro la Nostra severità, gridarono: «Crediamo in Allah, l’Unico, e rinneghiamo coloro che [Gli] avevamo associato».

{ فَلَمَّا رَأَوْا بَأْسَنَا } أي: عذابنا، أقروا حيث لا ينفعهم الإقرار { قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَحْدَهُ وَكَفَرْنَا بِمَا كُنَّا بِهِ مُشْرِكِينَ } من الأصنام والأوثان، وتبرأنا من كل ما خالف الرسل، من علم أو عمل.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
