Già abbiamo dato ai Figli di Israele la Scrittura, la saggezza e la profezia. Concedemmo loro cibi eccellenti e li preferimmo agli altri popoli 1 .

يذكر تعالى ما أنعم به على بني إسرائيل من إنزال الكتب عليهم وإرسال الرسل إليهم ، وجعله الملك فيهم ; ولهذا قال :( ولقد آتينا بني إسرائيل الكتاب والحكم والنبوة ورزقناهم من الطيبات ) أي : من المآكل والمشارب ، ( وفضلناهم على العالمين ) أي : في زمانهم .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
