E invero di buon’ora li sorprese un durevole castigo.

ولقد صبحهم بكرة عذاب مستقر أي دائم عام استقر فيهم حتى يفضي بهم إلى عذاب الآخرة . وذلك العذاب قلب قريتهم عليهم وجعل أعلاها أسفلها . و " بكرة " هنا نكرة فلذلك صرفت .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
