E quando elevammo il Monte sopra di loro, come fosse un baldacchino, e temevano che sarebbe rovinato loro addosso, [dicemmo]: «Afferrate con forza ciò che vi abbiamo dato e ricordatevi di quel che contiene. Forse sarete timorati».

ثم قال تعالى: وَإِذْ نَتَقْنَا الْجَبَلَ فَوْقَهُمْ حين امتنعوا من قبول ما في التوراة. فألزمهم اللّه العمل ونتق فوق رءوسهم الجبل، فصار فوقهم كَأَنَّهُ ظُلَّةٌ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُ وَاقِعٌ بِهِمْ وقيل لهم: خُذُوا مَا آتَيْنَاكُمْ بِقُوَّةٍ أي: بجد واجتهاد. وَاذْكُرُوا مَا فِيهِ دراسة ومباحثة، واتصافا بالعمل به لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ إذا فعلتم ذلك.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
