Se avessero voluto, si sarebbero ben preparati a partire; ma Allah ha disdegnato la loro partenza: li ha impigriti. Venne detto loro: «Statevene in compagnia di quelli che rimangono [a casa]».

يقول تعالى : ( ولو أرادوا الخروج ) أي : معك إلى الغزو ( لأعدوا له عدة ) أي : لكانوا تأهبوا له ، ( ولكن كره الله انبعاثهم ) أي : أبغض أن يخرجوا معك قدرا ، ( فثبطهم ) أي : أخرهم ، ( وقيل اقعدوا مع القاعدين ) أي : قدرا .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
