En wie het Hiernamaals wenst en er met een redelijke inzet naar streeft, én hij is gelovig: hij (behoort) tot degenen van wie hun streven wordt beloond.

{ وَمَنْ أَرَادَ الْآخِرَةَ } فرضيها وآثرها على الدنيا { وَسَعَى لَهَا سَعْيَهَا } الذي دعت إليه الكتب السماوية والآثار النبوية فعمل بذلك على قدر إمكانه { وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ } بالله وملائكته وكتبه ورسله واليوم الآخر. { فَأُولَئِكَ كَانَ سَعْيُهُمْ مَشْكُورًا } أي: مقبولا منمى مدخرا لهم أجرهم وثوابهم عند ربهم.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
