Het is hem (de Satan) voorgeschreven dat wie hem volgt, door hem tot dwaling gebracht wordt, en hij leidt hem tot de bestraffing van de Sa'îr (de Hel).

﴿كُتِبَ عَلَیۡهِ﴾ قُضِيَ عَلَى الشَّيْطَان ﴿أَنَّهُۥ مَن تَوَلَّاهُ﴾ أَيْ اتَّبَعَهُ ﴿فَأَنَّهُۥ یُضِلُّهُۥ وَیَهۡدِیهِ﴾ يَدْعُوهُ ﴿إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِیرِ ٤﴾ أي النار
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
