En zij (de huichelaars) zeggen: "Wij geloven in Allah en de Boodschapper en wij gehoorzamen." Vervolgens wendt een groep van hen zich daarna af. En zij zijn niet de gelovigen.

ويقول المنافقون: صَدَّقنا بالله وبما جاء به الرسول، وأطعنا أمرهما، ثم تُعْرِضُ طوائف منهم من بعد ذلك فلا تقبل حكم الرسول، وما أولئك بالمؤمنين.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
