En de bestraffing zal van haar afgewend worden als zij vier maal bij Allah zweert dat haar man zeker tot de leugenaars behoort.

﴿وَیَدۡرَؤُا۟﴾ أي يدفع ﴿عَنۡهَا ٱلۡعَذَابَ﴾ حد الزنى الذي ثبت بشهادته ﴿أَن تَشۡهَدَ أَرۡبَعَ شَهَـٰدَ ٰتِۭ بِٱللَّهِ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلۡكَـٰذِبِینَ ٨﴾ فيما رماها به من الزنى
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
