Toen gaf hij hun vee voor hen te drinken. Toen trok hij zich terug in de schaduw, en zei: "Mijn Heer, ik heb behoefte aan het goede dat U tot mij neerzendt."

فسقى موسى للمرأتين ماشيتهما، ثم تولى إلى ظل شجرة فاستظلَّ بها وقال: رب إني مفتقر إلى ما تسوقه إليَّ مِن أي خير كان، كالطعام. وكان قد اشتد به الجوع.
