Opdat Allah de waarachtigen zal belonen voor hun waarachtigheid en Hij de huichelaars zal bestraffen, als Hij wil, of hun berouw aanvaarden. Voorwaar, Allah is Vergevensgezind, Meest Barmhartig.

ليجزي الله الصادقين بصدقهم أي أمر الله بالجهاد ليجزي الصادقين في الآخرة بصدقهم . ويعذب المنافقين في الآخرة إن شاء أي إن شاء أن يعذبهم لم يوفقهم للتوبة ، وإن لم يشأ أن يعذبهم تاب عليهم قبل الموت . أو يتوب عليهم إن الله كان غفورا رحيما .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
