Dat was omdat hun Boodschappers tot hen waren gekomen met de duidelijke bewijzen, maar zij waren ongelovigen, waarop Allah hen greep. Voorwaar, Hij is Sterk, hard in de bestraffing.

أي هذا العذاب لهم بكفرهم بالرسل تأتيهم " بالبينات " أي بالدلائل الواضحة .فكفروا بها
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
