En toen hun Boodschappers tot hen kwamen met de duidelijke bewijzen, waren zij blij met wat bij ben was aan kennis. Maar dat waar zij de spot mee plachten te drijven omsingelde hen.

﴿فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَیِّنَـٰتِ﴾ الْمُعْجِزَات الظَّاهِرَات ﴿فَرِحُوا۟﴾ أي الكفار ﴿بِمَا عِندَهُم﴾ أي الرسل ﴿مِّنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ﴾ فرح استهزاء وضحك مُنْكِرِينَ لَهُ ﴿وَحَاقَ﴾ نَزَلَ ﴿بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ٨٣﴾ أي العذاب
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
