Wanneer zij zich dan afwenden, zeg dan: "Ik heb jullie gewaarschuwd voor een bliksemslag als de bliksemslag die de 'Âd en de Tsamôed trof."

﴿فَإِنۡ أَعۡرَضُوا۟﴾ أي كفار مكة عن الإيمان بعد هذا البيان ﴿فَقُلۡ أَنذَرۡتُكُمۡ﴾ خوفتكم ﴿صَـٰعِقَةࣰ مِّثۡلَ صَـٰعِقَةِ عَادࣲ وَثَمُودَ ١٣﴾ عذابا يهلككم مثل الذي أهلكهم
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
