Zijn zij beter of het volk van Toebba' en degenen vََr hen? Wij hebben hen vernietigd: voorwaar, zij waren misdadigers.

قال تعالى:{ أَهُمْ خَيْرٌ } أي: هؤلاء المخاطبون { أَمْ قَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ } فإنهم ليسوا خيرا منهم وقد اشتركوا في الإجرام فليتوقعوا من الهلاك ما أصاب إخوانهم المجرمين.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
