En aan Allah behoort de heerschappij van de hemelen en de aarde. Hij vergeeft wie Hij wil en Hij bestraft wie Hij wil. En Allah is Vergevensgezind, Meest Barmhartig.

ثم بين - سبحانه - أنه هو المالك لكل شئ فقال : ( وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السماوت والأرض ) خَلقا وتصرفا ( يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ ) أن يغفر له ( وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ ) أن يعذبه .( وَكَانَ ) - سبحانه - وما زال ( غَفُوراً ) أى : واسع المغفرة ( رَّحِيماً ) أى : واسع الرحمة .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
