Wat jullie omhakken van de dadelpalmen of wat jullie op hun wortels laten staan; het gebeurde met de toestemming van Allah. En zodat Allah de zwaar zondigen vergeldt.

ما قطعتم -أيها المؤمنون- من نخلة أو تركتموها قائمة على ساقها، من غير أن تتعرضوا لها، فبإذن الله وأمره؛ وليُذلَّ بذلك الخارجين عن طاعته المخالفين أمره ونهيه، حيث سلَّطكم على قطع نخيلهم وتحريقها.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
