Dat is omdat Allah nimmer een genieting die Hij aan een volk heeft geschonken verandert (in een bestraffing), tenzij zij veranderen wat zich bij hen bevindt: en voorwaar, Allah is Alhorend, Alwetend.

ذلك الجزاء السيِّئ بأن الله إذا أنعم على قوم نعمة لم يسلبها منهم حتى يغيِّروا حالهم الطيبة إلى حال سيئة، وأن الله سميع لأقوال خلقه، عليم بأحوالهم، فيجري عليهم ما اقتضاه علمه ومشيئته.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
