En als jij verraad vreest van een volk, hef het (verbond) dan met wederzijdse duidelijkheid op. Voorwaar, Allah houdt niet van de verraders.

وإن خفت -أيها الرسول- من قومٍ خيانة ظهرت بوادرها فألق إليهم عهدهم، كي يكون الطرفان مستويين في العلم بأنه لا عهد بعد اليوم. إن الله لا يحب الخائنين في عهودهم الناقضين للعهد والميثاق.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
