( ثم رددناه أسفل سافلين ) أي : إلى النار . قاله مجاهد وأبو العالية والحسن وابن زيد ، وغيرهم . ثم بعد هذا الحسن والنضارة مصيره إلى النار إن لم يطع الله ويتبع الرسل ; ولهذا قال :
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
