Porém, quando observou que suas mãos hesitavam em tocar o vitelo, desconfiou deles, sentindo-lhes temor. Disseram: Não temas, porque somos enviados contra o povo de Lot!

{ فَلَمَّا رَأَى أَيْدِيَهُمْ لَا تَصِلُ إِلَيْهِ } أي: إلى تلك الضيافة { نَكِرَهُمْ وَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً } وظن أنهم أتوه بشر ومكروه، وذلك قبل أن يعرف أمرهم. فـ { قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَى قَوْمِ لُوطٍ } أي: إنا رسل الله, أرسلنا الله إلى إهلاك قوم لوط.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
