Mas, se suspendemos seu castigo por um tempo determinado, então dizem: Que coisa o retém? Porém, o dia do seu castigoé inexorável e dele não escaparão, e serão envolvidos por aquilo de que escarneciam.

﴿وَلَىِٕنۡ أَخَّرۡنَا عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابَ إِلَىٰۤ﴾ مَجِيء ﴿أُمَّةࣲ﴾ أَوْقَات ﴿مَّعۡدُودَةࣲ لَّیَقُولُنَّ﴾ اسْتِهْزَاء ﴿مَا یَحۡبِسُهُۥۤۗ﴾ مَا يمنعه من النزول قال تعالى ﴿أَلَا یَوۡمَ یَأۡتِیهِمۡ لَیۡسَ مَصۡرُوفًا﴾ مَدْفُوعًا ﴿عَنۡهُمۡ وَحَاقَ﴾ نَزَلَ ﴿بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ٨﴾ من العذاب
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
