E não enviamos os sinais somente porque os primitivos os desmentiram. Havíamos apresentado ao povo de Tamud acamela como um sinal evidente, e eles a trataram erradamente; porém, jamais enviamos sinais, senão para adverti-los.

وما منعَنا من إنزال المعجزات التي سألها المشركون إلا تكذيب مَن سبقهم من الأمم، فقد أجابهم الله إلى ما طلبوا فكذَّبوا وهلكوا. وأعطينا ثمود -وهم قوم صالح- معجزة واضحة وهي الناقة، فكفروا بها فأهلكناهم. وما إرسالنا الرسل بالآيات والعبر والمعجزات التي جعلناها على أيديهم إلا تخويف للعباد؛ ليعتبروا ويتذكروا.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
