E aqueles sobre os quais pesar tal atribuição, dirão: Ó Senhor nosso, são estes os que extraviamos; extraviamo-los, como fomos extraviados; isentamo-nos deles na Tua presença, posto que não nos adoravam.

ولهذا { قَالَ الَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلُ } الرؤساء والقادة، في الكفر والشر، مقرين بغوايتهم وإغوائهم:{ رَبَّنَا هَؤُلَاءِ } التابعون { الَّذِينَ أَغْوَيْنَا أَغْوَيْنَاهُمْ كَمَا غَوَيْنَا } أي: كلنا قد اشترك في الغواية، وحق عليه كلمة العذاب.{ تَبَرَّأْنَا إِلَيْكَ } من عبادتهم، أي: نحن برآء منهم ومن عملهم. { مَا كَانُوا إِيَّانَا يَعْبُدُونَ } وإنما كانوا يعبدون الشياطين.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
