E orientamos o povo de Samud; porém, preferiram a cegueira à orientação. E fulminou-os a centelha do castigoignominioso, pelo que lucraram.

وأما ثمود قوم صالح فقد بينَّا لهم سبيل الحق وطريق الرشد، فاختاروا العمى على الهدى، فأهلكتهم صاعقة العذاب المهين؛ بسبب ما كانوا يقترفون من الآثام بكفرهم بالله وتكذيبهم رسله.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
