( وتركنا فيها ) أي في مدينة قوم لوط ( آية ) عبرة ( للذين يخافون العذاب الأليم ) أي : علامة للخائفين تدلهم على أن الله تعالى أهلكهم فيخافون مثل عذابهم .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
