Depois lhes trocamos o mal pelo bem, até que se constituíssem em uma sociedade e, não obstante, disseram: Aadversidade e a prosperidade experimentaram-nas nossos pais. Então, de repente, surpreendemo-los com castigo, quandomenos esperavam.

﴿ثُمَّ بَدَّلۡنَا﴾ أَعْطَيْنَاهُمْ ﴿مَكَانَ ٱلسَّیِّئَةِ﴾ الْعَذَاب ﴿ٱلۡحَسَنَةَ﴾ الْغِنَى وَالصِّحَّة ﴿حَتَّىٰ عَفَوا۟﴾ كَثُرُوا ﴿وَّقَالُوا۟﴾ كُفْرًا لِلنِّعْمَةِ ﴿قَدۡ مَسَّ ءَابَاۤءَنَا ٱلضَّرَّاۤءُ وَٱلسَّرَّاۤءُ﴾ كَمَا مَسَّنَا وَهَذِهِ عَادَة الدَّهْر وَلَيْسَتْ بِعُقُوبَةٍ مِنْ الله فكونوا على ما أنتم عليه قال تعالى ﴿فَأَخَذۡنَـٰهُم﴾ بِالْعَذَابِ ﴿بَغۡتَةࣰ﴾ فَجْأَة ﴿وَهُمۡ لَا یَشۡعُرُونَ ٩٥﴾ بِوَقْتِ مَجِيئِهِ قَبْله
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
